Japan and india aren't op, if we bann these civs we also have to bann brit/azzy and maybe fre/ger.
I think fre and brit are as good as jap or india.
Sioux is easy to play but it isn't op.
Jap/india/brit/fre/ger/azzy can win quite easily.

india cant beat proper sioux the way nagayumi and BS play it

I think last tournament sioux nominated itself for a ban. Still think that the mechanics of sioux are completely wrong and deserve no place in a high lvl tournament

Well,
When I said quite easily I meant that you can win someone who is as good as you.

Of course you can, it's not an impossible mu. But I still think it's in favour of Sioux unless you do the cdb stuff.

Sioux is a controversial civilization however they are countered by a couple of different civilizations for sure, Japan for one.
They might be a problem if you accept to play them in their good match ups. It's an interesting dynamic, if you want to play Sioux you need to keep one of their counter-civs ready, just in case.
I'm not sure about banning them but those who want to see them gone have good reasons for that, for sure.

They dont get that in age 2.hazza54321 wrote:seige dance?diarouga wrote:Also, many people forget they can wall and sioux cant deal with wall.
But Brit, Fre,and German do NOT beat Sioux. Even if you do camp behind a wall for the first 10 minutes of the game, you are going to become very food-starved very quickly. And it is likely that Sioux will have aged up and popped some dog soldiers by the time you do so, making your chances of winning minimal. A wall would only work to repulse an early rush, but Sioux usually go for a mid-colonial timing anyways so it is kind of a moot point. Besides, German and French are both cav civs (opting for cav FFs most games) which is not going to be effective against the civ that has the best anticav in the game.
The function of man is to live, not to exist.

People just saying OP to any civ they loose to nowadays (zzz). I think banning otto, iro is more than enough, rest of civs are fine.
P.S. - saying India, Japan are OP is like saying China is OP (in 4th age that is) ..

China is indeed OP from age 3. It has the most cost-effective units. It may have the sh*ttest eco, it will still rival you militarily.

I don''t agree at all with that statement. French and Japan vs Sioux is a fair matchup, probably even in favor of Sioux. I''m not sure about British and Germans because I haven''t played those mu''s a lot, but I''m pretty sure a bow rider semi beats both British and Germans.diarouga wrote:Fre>'sioux, german>'sioux, Japon>'sioux and brit>'sioux.

These games, all (my) Sioux vs French, played against MCJim were all won by me. I consider Jim to be a player just as good as I am, so I doubt a major skill difference influenced these games. Here''s one of them:

I just think for a more competitive tournament, there should be more civ restrictions.
