Faux Fast Industrial Festival
To honour the gods, I propose to host a spectacle, the like of which no one has ever seen before! This year we will see our first annual Faux Fast Industrial Festival! The rules are simple! Best of 5, civs can be picked only once and you can only do a fast industrial. Why not Treaty10, you say? Well here's the catch, once every best of 5, you can opt to cheese your opponent and not do a fast industrial, but rush him or attack him in fortress instead. Will your opponent be able to adapt and resist? Or will he perish?? Units can be made in whatever age you please, but if you attack before you are industrial, it counts as your one cheese. This includes raiding and any explorer shenanigans that are not aimed solely at killing the other explorer or scout. Walls are not allowed.
Blood and games!

Yup theyre allowed. You can even go fast imperial for all i cAre, we know it can be done in under 9 minutes :p
Im thinking an 8 people invitational, 50€ (Or more if you guys are generous. prizepool. Im willing to host it and find a co-caster. Should be played in one weekend. I think its best on re tho, because many fi's have been nerfed on ep and i think a few will stand out too much there. On re otto, japan, iro, china and german fi are all still solid.
If we raise the 50€ i will write up some proper rules.
Also which players would u like to see? I was thinking aizamk, goodspeed, boneng, aztecrouga, maybe nagayumi, blackstar also loved his fi's but i doubt hell play. Any other fi guys out there? Maybe breezebrothers? Though walls are not allowed
Re: Faux Fast Industrial Festival
Aztecrouga will rape, best FI player.

nice idea. However if you consider yourself as the better player its probably clever to always go for an FI. Sure you might lose 1 game but in the other ones you will have an advantage becasue you played greedier.

Thats your own choice, maybe that one game is the deciding one, who knows.

You mean it's better to always assume your opponent is going for an fi?

Re: Faux Fast Industrial Festival
But I think if you consider yourself as the better player there are still plently of FI strategies so it's not like you will always win when you both go for FI

what I think he means is that you should consider the game as a nr10, so for example don't ship a fort or something that you would ship in a normal fi.

With the ton of donations that we had during the final stages of the autumn tourny 50$ shouldn't be much of a problem, right?

Since this will probably be on RE, i dont think this will be an esoc event. So we need some seperate donations!
