i play with 800 dpi and windows setting in the middle without accleration.
Re: Mouse Sens
You shouldn't have to lift your hand almost ever to move your mouse in an RTS game. I use 1800 dpi And I can move without lifting hand for most things.

Re: Mouse Sens
Having 1000 dpi mouse is decent for RTS game I guess.
Re: Mouse Sens
I use 1100 dpi on a Logitech g502 I got for free from a friend. Overkill, yes, but it fits well in the hand and the programmable buttons can come in handy.

Is that with 6/11 default windows sens

Re: Mouse Sens
Yeah and no enhanced pointer precision.
Re: Mouse Sens
Also i notice camera accelleration speed seems low when watching streamers i like mine really high? is there any reason besides preference to have it lower.

Re: Mouse Sens
Camera speed is completely up to preference. I guess if you get used to play with slower speed you may gain in accuracy a bit. Most of scrolling is done with minimap anyway. I like fast screen scrolling speed btw.
Re: Mouse Sens
Allow me to agree very heavily with 6/11 windows mouse sense and not ticking enhanced pointer precision.
Some people prefer higher DPI than others. Whatever you go for (I recommend 800 to 1200 DPI), the most important thing to remember is that in order to be quick and precise, you need muscle memory. Your hand will remember by itself what movement it needs to make in order to click where you want to click. So, choose an option and then stick to it.
You can use flash games like aimbooster.com to ingrain that memory.

Re: Mouse Sens
I use 2500 DPI. All my irl friends call me crazy but it works wonders for me.

Re: Mouse Sens
I usually sit at 3200 DPI on a 1080p monitor. But my mouse control is terrible so this is probably too high.

Re: Mouse Sens
Hm I play on 1350 DPI, though I recently switched from a 27 inch 1920 x 1080 monitor to a 13 inch 1280 x 800 laptop, I've kept the same DPI (it felt about the same). My question is, how does screen size and resolution factor into it?

I also use it at 2500, idk how people play it at low dpi, but glad someone shares the same config
Re: Mouse Sens
really? in aoe3? lol I use 800 dpi in csgo and that feels so weird/slow in aoe.gibson wrote:nice bump. I play on 800 dpi
Re: Mouse Sens
2500 dpi with full HD resolution seems fine. I'm using that at the moment and it's the max DPI allowed by my mouse.

Well in CS:GO you have 2 sensitivities, one is the mouse sensitivity and the other one is the ingame sensitivity. So if your mouse has 800 DPI and your ingame sensitivity is 1 then your ingame sens is 800 DPI.
But my mouse also has 800 DPI and that's totally fine for AoE.
Re: Mouse Sens
Yea 800 feels fine for aoe, I can go from one corner of the screen to the other in 1/3rd of my mousepad. If anything it feels too high

I use 3200 DPI with full HD resolution.3200 is very comfortable for me.
Re: Mouse Sens
how do people play with so high sense lol, my mouse goes up to 4k dpi and with that I can go from 1 corner of my screen to the other by moving my mouse half an inch. Impossible to be precise.
