No, it's not the same at all.
First of all, you don't have a better eco than France until very late, so this is not very relevant.
In addition you're slower (your age 2 timings are weaker, you reach the 3rd age later, you have less units at 9-10min...). And finally you don't have falcs, so you don't have a falc timing.

Eco is better rather soon, especially if at key moment you idle 1 or 2 TCs to stacl res for units.
You have 2 organs but anyway falc timing is not the way imo.
As Ports you dont need timings. Just drag the game. T some point you want a fiundry for organs (or huss switch but I prefer organs).

No. It's good especially as ports because of the scaling eco. You don't have to finish the game colonial, just slow down the banks building progress and strengthen your economy before moving to fortress war.

Just like russia, longer the game goes, stronger the civ gets.

And colonial skirm mass is the best port can wish for. Because after 8 pikes are gone, ports should spam as many fucking hus as they can.
Fortress skirm-ruyt mass is way way harder to handle. Organs bad, mames nerfed, cassadors suck ass

Yes it's good if you can keep trading since ports scale better. But you seem to forget that ports have a weak early game, which makes it harder to take good trades/hit good timings vs dutch, compared to, say, france.
So it's a higher risk/reward as ports, but not necessarily very good. Quite sure with a solid defense from dutch, ports can't do too much in colo.

considering you can rarely have 3 TPs at once on this map due to natural barriers and your opponent always gets one for free, as well as that coin mines are widespread, there's not much favouring the Portuguese
