Howdah FF used to be some sort of counter to Otto/Spain and basically civs that don't have easy time massing the proper counter to it (skirm and/or goons). But ye it takes a while to set up so should take significant damage before that point.

Well everyone knows this MU sucks but not because of howdahs, constant batches of 5 skirm with rod shipments should be enough

Yea that's what I expected, you wasted a lot of time.
First, you went back when he reached the 3rd age while he had literally 0 units. That doesn't make sense, he sent the wood trickle and got all the market upgrades and you skipped 5v. He went super greedy and you're all in, you have to push.
Honestly you can't go all in 0 eco every game, wait forever and then cry because you're outmassed at 15min.

That make sense when you die on sort of urumi pop like 80% of the time, maybe i need a better scouting but it's not like my oponent tell me what is doing ^^.

And i have try this mu a lot in eco way, alaways the same, i can't deal with the india army, maybe with spanish gold and unction it could work (i have not try that way since i am back).

So an other mu that i have to practise a lot ^^.

If he doesn’t have any other units you don’t need to be very afraid of an Urumi pop, especially as Spain if you have a few lancers. Just do as much damage as you can and avoid getting trapped. Pay attention to his age up time; it takes 40 seconds to send a shipment, so you can always make sure to abuse that 30-35 second window you have to do as much as you can and still avoid being trapped.

Canons kill urumis quite fast though. And you have 4 hussars, you shouldn't be afraid.
