Only if EP team or ok with switching 2 HC in age 3. With that i could use 12 cards age 3 and 2 HC againt water is pretty nice!

I think you did well on water early. Probably 1kw immediately after spanish gold and get stage + tc on coast maybe. The scary part isnt to survive as ports, it's to survive while other guy is scaling behind his preasure

Atp here to get 6 tps and then fi for hc, skirm ,rod and culv, i think this is better than fast age 3 push where ports can send cm and hold easy with 3tc fire and mm.

Not sure if FI is really the best vs. Port water. I have very rarely seen that work, although I havent seen Spain in particular try.

I always feel when someone goes (semi) FI vs port water, Port will have walls+3 tcs+culv+organs etc and like double the eco, plus only slightly slower age4 itself.

Yeah, idk. I always wonder if vs. water you can't play early age2 full water plus some land (pikes) yourself and win because you have more stuff (he invests into sea eco, you only in navy), but from games I've seen it doesn't seem to work for some reason. Maybe because of the port second TC.

Something like, age up with tower, put on sea, send 700w first, make cara, ship 2 cara, then attack. And/or add rax+pikes if his rax is away from TC. And/or add a native TP with 700w for canoes.

But that's just a theoretical idea, prolly doesnt work well in practice...

Port can hold all units spain has in age 2 with 2tcs bow/musk + cm , when spain goes full sea fight it wont end good since spain will be later aged to fortress what gives the edge again to port imo.

To be honest what he did in this game seems much better than age 2 or age 4. Just try to scale better with 1000w earlier and some small mistakes like not losing 2 falc to huss etc. But overall really solid strat

Steel plating( the hp upgrade) is the best. It’s pretty expensive but adding 400 hp on a caravel is huge. The attack upgrades aren’t as good.

Depends on what you plan to do next, it's not worth to get that upgrade just to improve one fregate for sure

yea if you're gonna commit to a long see fight its obviously good, if ur early in age 3 just trying to do like a 2 fregate timing to take control obviously 1 fregate with steel plating is worse than 2 fregates.
