I just want people to realize that @lemmings121 was behind that idea. He sent it to me via pm. I just posted his idea. He is the mastermind behind it, thus should be given credit. :P

Kudos, lemmings! As I told you, it is important to have a more active feedback loop within the community and our goals should be must clearer. This way we can improve the forums.

I think Off Topic is an important space for ESOC to have. Sure this is an AoE3 community, but it is a community, which means we should be able to talk about interesting stuff that brings us closer together (Kumbaya :flowers: ).

That being said, there are some trolls in OT that treat it like their personal shitposting playground, and seem to think they have a right to post whatever they want, wherever they want. These people are the ones that give OT a bad name, and should all be permabanned imo. People who are here solely to cause drama are not welcome.

Agecomm had an Off-topic subforum that dwarfed the rest of the forum in activity, but I don't think anyone will disagree that Agecomm was a successful, or maybe the best AoE community ever created. I'd argue that it wasn't in spite of Off-topic, but because of it. The friendships formed on Agecomm's Off-topic forum outlived Agecomm, and formed the seeds of many spin-off forums, including this one. It'd be a shame if ESOC were to be deprived of that.

As long as Off-topic isn't spammed with illegal, pornographic, violent, etc. content, I see no reason why it would hamper ESOC's solid reputation as the foremost AoE community.

Some people here are just trolls trying to stir up trouble. It's either that or they legitimately can't tolerate differing beliefs and points of view.

They've tried this crap before, but we defeated them. We need @Metis back to save the Off-Topic forum once more!

Is that why you put people on an ignore list who point out to you that you are wrong? It seems that whenever you can't refute the argument, you just ignore it. Great strategy for a discussion forum!

I think Off Topic should definitely be made into one section again, just like it used to be. That doesn't solve the problem of a few users ruining it by shitposting in every thread, but it would help.

I think it's pretty fine, seriously it's not that big of a deal...

One's views makes him a troll? I go on OT forums a lot and when I see people say things that I find absolutely absurd I dont complain of trolling etc because views differ from mine

Buncha "Chwal kaka" imo
