ESOC Twitch Channels Blocked Words List

I think that certain words that are offensive to reasonable (groups of) people should be blocked on ESOC's official Twitch channels. Some of these (particularly more normalized ones) are used relatively frequently in chat. In addition to causing some discomfort, it seems counter-productive to ESOC's more direct interests. I trust that ESOC moderating is well suited to producing such a list—albeit at the risk of overdoing it.

I will say that, considering both my own principles and those of ESOC moderating, I find finding myself making the suggestion surprising, now that it's happening.

I wa actually thinking of the word rape, retard is definitely not top tier swearwords and can form some occasional top tier flame/banter among the players.

Including swear-words but only one of the R's hints at severe bias towards certain groups of individuals. Seeing as I'm apprehensive towards censorship, it's obvious to me that swears should not be censored, while both R's—for example—should. Don't be a cunt and overlook the mentally impaired!

I trust that Bramboyle III will not make that particular mistake, though. In fact, he's more likely to censor all of the above.

Because it has absolutely no racist intent in reference to the game - I used it for years and years (playing aoe3) never realizing it was supposedly an offensive word. It’s the easiest way to shorthand refer to the Japanese civilization.
