What do you think about ads. This site has no ads but I think nobody would really care about advertising like the advertising on the elo page. I know it wouldn't be much money but still.

Yeah, but this will probably last about 4 more months. If, in the meantime, we don''t have a way to fund the site, we''ll have to switch back to the site which included ads posted by Proboards. So the site will stay the same, nobody will lose anything, but we will have ads from sources we don''t control and for which we get no money. So, we better place our own ads and get some revenue before this happens. "Fund the site" mostly means making sure we have enough storage space for attachments. Proboards only offered about 200MB of attachment space and we went over that a long time ago. Then Mitoe paid for extra storage for a while and then H2O offered to pay for a no-ads/increased storage plan that would allow us to qualify for a site database dump after 6 months.

We already tried to get some companies to advertise here, but they didn''t bite yet. They don''t seem very interested in this kind of target audience. I''m going to try next setting up an AdSense account and see if we can get something going from that.

Contact Augustiello and ask him how much is he willing to give to the site if you advertise his games, civs and maps here.

Please turn off adblock for sites which don't have intrusive ads. Nothing in life is free, it's only common sense that a site which has attracted you gets its 0.001$ for that. Stuff adds up over time mates.

I think drop tricking and oosing is generally looked down upon. He tries to help new players as long as they give him free wins. Taking advantage of newer players is also looked down upon as well. He dropped me and he had the audacity to ask for a rematch. The guy has so shame at all lol

I would turn off adblock, but I got traumatized by ads a long time ago. Back when youtube only had one Dutch ad, and I spend my summer watching youtube videos. I dreamt of that fucking ad. Never again.

Btw, we seem to be able to get a lot of money for tournements. id personally rather donate money for the upkeep of this site.

What would be the requirements to run this site?
I could buy hosting here in central Europe at 85$ for 6 years with 30GB space and Id be willing to pay from my pocket.
