Re: Site Feature Changelog
Added links to the scheduling and results topics to the match view, if they exist.
Re: Site Feature Changelog
Great job!
"It would be really nice if the elo ladder page for a player included a link to the player's esoc profile, not least because you could then look at previous event results. Also the search feature is bad. Like, it's too specific; it doesn't return hits unless they are perfect, from the first character, and when you search a forum for posts (at least through a user's profile, probabily universally) if you search once, then search again (without going back to the root), it will ADD the new search string to the old one, then search for both strings, instead of replacing the old string with the new (ie just doing a new search)."
Isn't there a suggestions thread, anywhere on the site? Where should I have posted this??

Agree, hoping to implement this soon.zoom wrote:It would be really nice if the elo ladder page for a player included a link to the player's esoc profile, not least because you could then look at previous event results.
We're talking about just the forum search here? Or is the first sentence about searching the ladder? Also the search feature is bad. As far as the forum search, messing around with phpBB's core behavior is more difficult, unfortunately.

It's an excerpt from a chat. My previous post contains little sarcasm.
Thanks!

Tired of digging up the rules thread?
Rolling over a round name in a tournament will now show the "Best of" and the map pool, if available.

Re: Site Feature Changelog
Recorded games are now displayed in the correct map pool order (as long as it's not Hudson Bay Summer )
Unplayed games show a preview of the map pool (order for unplayed games is always correct):

Because their MySQL version can't store those Unicode characters.
I proposed that some time ago.

Re: Site Feature Changelog
We need to upgrade our phpbb version as well to make full use of the emoji keyboard. Because we have a lot of custom code this is a lot of work, but some progress has already been made.

Re: Site Feature Changelog
I'm not sure if it can be changed or not but it is a gripe of mine. In the section where scheduled tourney series are listed, when the game is listed to be played at midnight ie 00:00 it will say tomorrow 00:00. However it is actually for the day after tomorrow at 00:00. Essentially it is considering 00:00 to be the end of the day and not the start, so I'll be thinking a series is in the next couple of hours when instead it is 24h+ away. Anyway that can be changed, considering 00:00 is the start of the day?

Re: Site Feature Changelog
How about setting the start to 00:01?

Re: Site Feature Changelog
I guess you could but I guess it looks weird for everyone else because for them it may be 16:01 or whatever.japanesegeneral wrote:How about setting the start to 00:01?

Re: Site Feature Changelog
Well we could adjust times by esoc standard delay which is approximately 10-15 mins. Everything would be fine if we did that.

Re: Site Feature Changelog
For me it just shows day date month time. I don't see what's the confusion. For ex. it says Saturday 25th July 00:00
Fine line to something great is a strange change.
Re: Site Feature Changelog
It'll say that until it gets to "tomorrow". It just seems stupid when it'll get to "Today 00:00" and you're sitting there thinking "but that was 10 hours ago". Just thought it would be worth suggesting to fix. Figured it would be easier than scheduling every series at the "wrong" time or other suggestions.princeofcarthage wrote:For me it just shows day date month time. I don't see what's the confusion. Added two new profile fields:
Steam (shows up as a link in your contact section)
Clan (abbreviation of your clan, shows up everywhere)
Deactivated Skype profile field.
Added two new graphs to the legacy population statistics page (TAD ESO Team Matches Distribution).
Moved sidebar content related to legacy AoE3 into a new collapsed super-section "Legacy AoE3" (done by @musketeer925).
Added support for DE recs (done by @musketeer925).
Reworked ESOC Elo ladders to use new API that will be supported long-term by Microsoft, after the shutdown of main agecomm website (done by @musketeer925, shoutout to DodoNotDoDo from Microsoft for cooperating with us).
You shouldn't notice much change in behavior, except long map names are no longer getting cut off.
