We should be able select state flags or country flags. THis is because United States states are actually bigger and more powerful than many european countries!

Can't tell if a troll or just legitimately dumb. If you do state flags (50), then you'd have to do state/province flags for other countries too. Canadian provinces for example are much, much bigger than American states on average; why don't they get flags? Then you just make the site team's life difficult by adding a basically useless function and having to spend tons of time on it.

I think we need the Dutch provinces to be represented too. I mean, Utrecht has a lot of power over here, its pretty important. It has basically as much power as half of the USA. So yeah we need that flag.

The invasion forces from Texas would freeze before they could make any headway. Minnesota has the best chance I think. They might even beat us at hockey (probably not though).

Edit: on topic, I think getting civ flags could be cool as well if people would prefer to show their favourite civ rather than country.

Yea, I've thought about that too. The thing just is that this would need to be a separate feature, because the country flags are primarily meant to be an indicator for the internationality of this community and a cool way to show people where you're coming from. On a further note, which pleases especially me as a designer, is that it also enriches the spectrum of colors in this rather dark, brownish site and has a vitalizing effect on the forum view.

We could easily add another text field (ideally dropdown menu) in which players can set their fav civs. It shouldn't replace or interfere with the country flag though. I'd add such a field right below the ESO field, maybe with a small civ icon in different style (much smaller than at RTSS). In the game files mini flags of all civs (I think) can be found that could be used for that, but I have also made civ icons myself for NE.

The actual problem with colours is that people like iNcog don't choose an avatar.

On the N3O website we used to have this art wonder guy that'd photoshop signature images for people. It looked really cool and gave the site a happier feeling.
