The thing is that brits dont need to kill france in 1 blow. You dont have to overstay your welcome under his tc. Go there siege some stuff go back and wait for the hus lb timing.
Also if you can bait france into shipping 8bows while not being caught thats a big win for brits

u can win in age 2 with france vs brit, you add cav and because he is behind in units after engaging so early he cant keep up...

if someone is overengaging u can ofc win with any civ, but thats not the point imo.

france cant win brit in age 2 imo, crossbows are just too bad of a unit. Brits dont have to engage just at the moment when the 8 bow shipment comes in, yet alone under france tc, and by the time france can actually force the issue with a substantial amount of hus, brit either has hus of their own or upgraded musks, and in both cases france gets shat on.

only if someone would have suggested xbow buff...

I actually always lose against France when I play Brits, and nothing seems to work. I am more of a watch and learn guy, would anyone want to walk me through these strategies?
