Cannons are better really.

I was about to write something with the gist of this. I agree with H2O for once.h2o wrote:strongly disagree with these comments, huss transitions win games.
I would like to add that the lack of Hussar transitions loses games...

Absolutely! This coupled with what H2O already said invalidates your initial "huss suxx" comment as they dont always suck at all.garja wrote:hmm ye I guess 30 huss 6k res so 10 cannonscalmyourtits wrote:More like 10 cannonsit also loses gamesh2o wrote:strongly disagree with these comments, huss transitions win games.
IMO even if heavy cavalry is less dominant enter light cavalry, it is still very powerful in appropriate windows and as excellent for raiding as ever' it just require more intelligent usage than they do in Colonial Age.

They seem like a highly situation-dependent unit from where I'm standing, since a large ranged cav mass makes them next to useless. They are a bad thing to rely on in Fortress.
The function of man is to live, not to exist.

First you agree to an argument necessitating that Hussars don't universally suck, and then you quip "they still suck".
Now that's some quality conviction if I ever saw it!

It really depends on the positioning and on how big the armies are: the bigger the armies, the less efficient the huss (pathing, hit and run, no big surface area etc.)
if you can trap the enemy army they are always nice and you can raid and disrupt with 1-2 huss during big battles. Also pooling cav, hiding them or just transitioning really fast to mass huss can throw off the enemies anti cav since surprise.
Edit: I'm sorry Zoi, let me rephrase it this way: I dislike how you criticise others without adding anything to the discussion.

Don't let the things you can't change dictate your life.

I am not trying to bash anyone. I am merely making observations and pointing them out. Aggressive little attempted flaming with no basis, I see...

Hussars cost too much
