How can i counter Samurai with Germany / Dutch?

With Germany i can use Dopp and Best/Skirm, but they still have Ashi and Yumi, besides that Samurai be cheaper than Dopp.

With Dutch i can't stay in age 2, Samurai easily kill Pike, and until i get in the age 3 they can destroy some buildings (Banks, Houses,Villagers), like Germany, with Samurai (Dopp) and Naginata (Uhlan).


How could I beat them mainly in the age 2?

Hit and run vs them. If they go pure samurai, go skirms and make some huss to raid. Samurai are really expensive, so killing them off efficiently and raiding their eco will hurt Japan very badly.

If they go nagi, use your 8 pike shipment carefully ( don't fight the samurai with the pikes) and lure them under your tc so you can pop minutemen.
