well of course they are not good in pure skirm goon wars, as I said you have to use them smartly... There are certainly useful in less situations than Yojimbos are. But, I don't think these situations are so rare and when they do fight, they are far better than Yojimbos

I'd agree, but if not too many ranged units and with some smart moves you can use them, as I said earlier

Full speed german ronin with improved mercenaries are a nightmare to deal with at any stage of the game...

if you ever get ronins, if you send 2 more cards, then yes
