Best Map for German

Yeah, what is the best (more advantaged) map for German. Imo it is Great Lakes or Ozarks because those maps have lots of spread hunts so perfect for raiding and also they have a TP lines.

I would like to learn your opinions dear pro players..

You have to take into account enemy's civ as well.

For example Deccan seems legit because you can grab 2 TPs, you have 5 k coin in base, easy stagecoach and age safely behind cliffs.

But the other civ has bigger advantage because they boom faster and can defend easily on a base with massive amount of hunts and follow you up safely.

Yeah it depends on the mu, deccan/texas/california/mongolia/siberia are quite good for ger overall, but depends if opponent can grab livestock faster, can waterboom, etc

I always found Yucatan and Siberia to be the most comfortable maps as Germany.

Siberia is really nice due to loads of cav tweaking treasures that you can take easily with your shipment uhlans even when doing ff.

I've played quite a bit vs Kynesie, with good success. Not so much on Yucatan, but Yucatan is one of the easier maps to shut down water play on because they can't adequately defend both sides of the water from land and sea while also contesting map control.

From my experience, you're going to win on one side at best, and the water player will keep the other side, which is enough to boom.

3 whales is not very scary, to be honest. It's enough to be worth it but not enough to justify sacrificing so many of your lategame economic upgrades for whale upgrades as many water players do.

Winning 1 side is not enough to outright win the game, but it's enough to give yourself a pretty big advantage if you play well thereafter.
