Russia Church card strategy viable in Russian mirrors?

Personally I feel it's too risky to age up with 20 vils, send 700w and go for a ff. I have seen this strategy a few time but want to know if it viable in Russian mirror and if he rush in like 6 mins. Do I have any chance in that situation?

Maybe it's possible to go for 2 BHs and walls?

Or 1 BH, 5 coss first to raid, make 20 strels behind wall, then age with 700c? Usually Russia will go musks first but then they can't rush your base. Coss can't reach your strels with walls.

When I played Russia I really liked to send the church card. I wouldn't straight ff though, more like a 12min semi ff and then I get the kalmuks and upgrades and if possible I age 4 for the hussars.

I think the church card is consistently viable with russia due to the incredible value of those techs. The hussar one is especially powerful when combined with the two falconet politician, etc.

What's the consensus on chopping 900w in age up from 2 -> 3 to get quick Veteran on all units?

I tried it and got fcked pretty hard, yeah it's not always viable.
