Jap consultate bank?

Hi I watched a rec from wcg and seems to be a old strategy what h2o did. He made the contract with Dutch consulate and sent a bank. It works really?

Won't work with the current shrine gather rate. Used to be viable in mirrors, but no longer the case.

Don't worry, Japan just enough OP that wins without a bank too. You honestly don't need it. Better save the export for Bushido principles.

Vs every civs you wont be allowed to br so greedy and the 150-150-150 market ups and 20 shrines+ 2 times 4vills will give you more eco.
In mirror if you do that, youll allow your opponent to age. H2O lost all his japs mirror vs naga on sib because he did this build while naga was semi FIing.

but you can't deny that on maps where you can put up 3 walls it's impossible to beat japan, since they easily reach the fort and then industrial age. They have the absolute best units and one of the best economies in the lategame, and a civ who can't punish japan loses automatically against them because of it.

"If you let jap age it's your fault" well sadly not everything is the opponents fault, if the opponent isn't a pr 35 player doing everything exactly right then japan gets an advantage out of it automatically. Stop saying japan isn't op but their enemies are up.

Iro, otto, Aztec, india, china and brit all do fine vs jap 3 wall -->' age 4.

Japanese most certainly are overpowered. They aren't much stronger than British though...

Japan has no eco without shrines (mapcontrol) and lb have more range than yumis so they can''t.

Actually on the average map they are far stronger than British' on maps with relatively high hunts (close to your base) and fair resource distribution its fairly close and Im not sure which civilization is favored.

On QS maps, brit can also take the sea and monitor japans wonder=>' better late game.
