Lot of ppl told me than spain atp are strong, but i dont know how make it work becouse each time i try it i lost. I have the feeling that its too slow and open a big big window. I have try plenty of time the famous h2o ff and it didn't worked to me, especialy vs fr where my oponenet just make a semi ff mousket and kill my tp then go age a few seconde after me.

I think it is good only against civs that are not supposed to take tp's themselves, since at that case you will have to start making infantry and siege it down and then yes you will be too slow

3 vili atp, age with 500f, 700g age with 20 vili

atp FF isnt that special eh, it's only marginally better than the FF with 1 TP.
Of course if the opponent let you stagecoach that's another story.
Anyway with ATP you should do some semi FF like H2O was doing

never liked playing with atp, other dude just makes 10-15 musks sieges and steals 1 after taking 1 in age 1 or in transition. and then ages before you with 2-2 tps.

Idk, like hazza said spain age2 sux mean if your oppoenent contest the tp line you loose and if he go age3 before you i don't know what you are suppose to do (becouse semi ff atp is much slower than standar semi, who is still slow with spain).

@chronique vs fr you should on equal terms when it comes to colonial fighting apart from them having 8 bows advantage. I would just play age 2 with shipping lots of crates from a lot of do because of tps and try to guess I'd he is aging then follow if not playing Colo is fine I think. What do you think?

Fr have better eco, better army and can age3 fast

Spain ATP is probably as strong as fre colonial. The issue is that France can just mass and age at one point and then you can't deal with the falcs.

Well france boom is faster, masses more so you cant hold the tps and their shipments are just better. Also throw in fast age.

I disagree. I'm not sure what Spain can do against a 20-25 musks semi. It's enough to take the TP line if Spain doesn't commit to colonial and if the Spain player decides to play age 2 then there's not much he can do against a 25musk/falc push.
Now if France goes for a bot ff then Spain can be in a good spot yea.

From my experience, when iam going for ff atp, fr just semi 15 mousket and take the line (or at least contest very well) and age 15-20 sec after me, and when i make unit, fr just need to delay is own age and same story.

How can France contest the tp line if Spain puts a tower next to an ATP and gets most TPs? Spain can prevent France from getting transition TPs with dogs, maybe even ship pikes to harass French TPs if they get some up. The one ATP with a tower next to it can't be contested due to dogs etc.

If u want to play ATP spain then u should play some Age2 and france cant deal with that in age2. Xbow huss usally, add rods if u need.

Pretty sure it's a bit more complicate than "can't do much agaisnt 25 musk falc push"

500f. You need food for stagecoach and you going to play aggressive to defend tp line usally so tower is not optimal probably. I think spain atp play is better rn with age up and xbow buff
