How to win?

Is it hopeless?

I saw few recs of this MU. Some went for full lancers. Is it even viable?

What must you exactly do as Spain vs
a)Otto Rush?
b)Otto FF?

In nilla its a quite even matchup. I haven't played it much on tad but here are my opinions:

a. Vs rush best bet is bow/rod dogs with a good mm pop.
b, Vs otto ff, you should FF also. Consider highlanders vs jan mameluke.

Tad = otto wins
Nilla = spain wins (ff without any mistakes so played perfectly). If Spain doesn't play perfectly a Otto rush would rape them without any problems

Always ff, vs a jan rush you'll need CM so 700g/CM/700w and vs a ff try to trade your units, kill the falcs with yours and harass his jans with your skirms. If you kill enough jans you can hold the timing with mass rod (I mean if the otto is bad^^).

Is it always 15>'16 v vs otto? Is that the most common ff or just umeus variation?

Both are viable, vs a ff 16 is better, vs a jan rush 15 is better but if you get no game by aging 16, 15 wont make you win^^

By 15>'16 I mean aging with 15 and making 1 vill in colonial lol. Is that the most common ff that u do generally, or you do 15>'17, or 15>'18, or 15>'18, or 16>'19?

it depends if they timing or rush. If they go for a timing you will want to get 4 lancer out as well.

Against players of equal skill the Otto should win every time provided the map has a tp for them. They can FF or stay age2 and beat the spanish player. I've never seen this match up turn out well for the otto on TAD.

indeed you should hope opponent makes some mistakes or you don''t will counter the Jan rush. When you play perfectly Spain vs a player who''s using Otto and he does some mistakes you can win
