5 Rajput card is underrated. They're basically coyote runners. They can run in and do 2.3x damage to light infantry. Combine with drab martial arts and it's so sweet Why does nobody really use this card?

They're not coyote runners at all, did you ever hear something about unit types?

I think aizamk uses it. Not sure if he counts for much since aizamk is not on the same level as the rest of ESO.

I''m I likened them to coyote runners because that are fast little men who can run in and do big hand damage.

They're rods, not coyotes. Main way you can tell is hand resist vs range resist' Raj are for fighting heavy cav, coyotes for light infantry. They're roughly as good as rods (maybe better I dunno) but India has alot of much better stuff to use, especially in age 2 cards.

Rajputs get an awesome bonus vs light inf. They are ambush units really.

Aoe unit types are a bit weird tho. Skirms aren't light inf. They are just inf. Coyote runners are light inf and they function as cavalary. So a bonus vs light inf means u do more dmg vs coyote runners and eagel runners(and a few more but I don't know them).

Rajputs are the only reason I play india. A 600w 300e 5 rajput timing with 35 rajputs will destroy most civs in no time. This works even better with a 10/10.

I doubt straight 35 Rajputs would work. I like mixing in the Rajputs into sepoy army and then have them run forward and kill the xbows

Rajputs are much faster, have higher hand damage v cav, and can actually close with skirmisher units to start clawing the place up.magnam wrote:I dont see how they can be useful when u have sepoys as anticavevilcheadar wrote:Dont be afraid to use Rajputs people.

Well u need to outmass his skirms by alot when u want to kill them with rajputs. Imo India got far better options then rajputs

5 rajputs is never worth it, especially when you have 5 sepoys available. You could make an argument for sending it after, but by then you probably going to want wood crates, not 5 of a suboptimal unit. If you want a good anti-inf shipment in age 2, send tiger claws.

So spend 500 gold and a shipment instead of sending 5 rajputs with great multipliers and using that 500 gold on many other units?papist wrote:5 rajputs is never worth it, especially when you have 5 sepoys available. Rajputs multipliers are normal nothing great about it.

For the record the light infantry multiplier is not what you're thinking. Light infantry in TAD refers to Aztec unique units (Coyote runners, Eagle Knights, Arrow Knights, etc.), and NOT to skirmishers, crossbows, etc.
The rajput is just a glorified halberdier with lower damage and siege than a sepoy.

Wow that blows. It still seemed like when I used them last game they cut through skirmisher as if they had that multiplier.mitoe wrote:For the record the light infantry multiplier is not what you''re thinking. Well, rajput (like most hand infantry) DO have good hand attack and WILL beat light infantry in melee simply because their stats are better suited for melee, but unfortunately no multipliers

In early rush games i will make some if i'm heavier on wood than coin, but for treaty they aren't really necessary so I don't upgrade them, unless I'm fighting aztec. Then i just use sepoy on hand attack if they try a cav push, or even run them into light cav if they backed into a tight spot. even though they are slower at this than raj. It would be really nice if they were a siege unit too then they would be more playable. but alas they want us to use flail elephant for that role.

I use them sometimes, but I will remove that card from deck, because there are better cards
Underrated Rajputs
Why use rajput if you have sepoy and zamb? It is just like you're using pikeman in availability of musk and ranged cav -_-
Rajputs suck by their cost.
They cost 100 food and 35 wood, which is even more costly than sepoy 90 food and 30 coin lol, while sepoy is the best musk you can have in mid age 2.
Rajputs could be good if they costed same as rods. Anyway you don't even need that unit in game.

Sepoys are cheaper than a rajput as well as being the most cost effective musk in the game (except perhaps a russian one)
