How does Spain beat Russia? Should you go FF or play age 2?

How is it differently played on TP map and non-TP map?

And how to play Spain vs Aztec? It's kind of just impossible MU, just like vs Otto..

Azzy can just take down your TC before you even age up lol.

This MU is nightmare on non-TP map..

How do you play this MUs as Spain?

Spain doesn't win this matchup, period. But try to FF. It's all Spain can do, afterall.

Even if they go eco, you should send 8 pikes, both civs have a good eco and are good in late colonial, you have to kill them early.

vs aztec if you micro your tower/tc well vs the pikes and send mm at a good timing it should be holdable. pluss you can do it piroshiki-style, by aging to colonial with 13 or 14 vils to be in 3rd even earlier !

What diarouga said. Only I prefer rods, and vs a rush you don't even necesarily need to send the wood first, you can send the units and then the wood if you want. Vs aztec a 7 (or 6 on RE) rod pop with minutemen and dogs just destroys the shit out of any aztec army), same for russia. Also, always age with 4 huss vs those civs.

Later on when you push, just make a lot of rods (not more than 5-10 skirms) since a lot of russia players will mass cossacks. Aztec im not sure, but if they rush you it's pretty much gg you win, and even if they don't rush I think the only way you could lose if they mass a bunch of mace and coyotes and melt your anticav faster than you can kill their coyotes. You can also make musk instead of rods.

Aztecs give me trouble, but I've always felt pretty comfortable against Russia. As long as you defend intelligently (dogs/mm at the right time) and up with the hussar politician they're going to be in trouble. If they've been flooding infantry and not making enough cav you can ship lancers and that's basically the end of their army.
