Also China is never about massing 1 specific army. You need at least a couple different types to be effective.

They're both nice cav which have good upgrades on them. They're both unique and have a China feel to them.

they attack in range (not range attack just the animation) so they path better than other cav. Their stats are decent too. Also they have 1 op card that gives them 41%rr which is exactly what makes mams OP.

It is strictly the ranged resistance that makes mams so op. Give them 30% and they would be just normal mercs. I would perhaps even prefer stradiots in that case.

Both are great. Flails have high hp and they tank in front, meteors have low hp, high attack so they stand behind and do damage from range. Also meteors make cannons useless vs Chinese.

give hackapels 40% RR and they are still not as op as mams. if u let mams have 40% RR and just give them 700 hp than theyre just normal too.

yep infact rods in meele just dont die. One of the few things that justify rods cost.
And about hackapells they would be insanely op with 40%. Just imagine that goons dont kill them efficiently and the hand units just die because of high attack. And mams with 700hp and 40%rr would still be OP. It's not very different than removing like 2 mams from the card. As long as there is one mams in front tanking all the ranged damage it is a problem. Also RR also explain why mams are way less scary when you have mass hand inf.

lol obviously RR > hand resist. but 1500 is just as scary as 40%. the difference between 30% and 40% is not THAT big that only that 10% is what makes them op.

Hackapell are probably my favorite hand cav in the game just because they're a roided out Uhlan.
and yeah high health is more important than resists. It's why dog soldiers can handle muskets when backed by wakina and/or bow rider.
