Things you can't quite understand

Post by fightinfrenchman »

So this thread is meant to be about things you don't understand, despite dedicating at least a few minutes to think about them.

The one on my mind: why am I banned from @sirmusket 's twitch chat? I remember talking briefly about how proud I was that Nikola Tesla was an American scientist (since I'm an American myself), but other than that I don't know what I may or may not have said that would lead me to get banned from his Twitch chat. Maybe just an overactive moderator or something. Regardless, I keep thinking about this, since I would like to be able to post there.

What questions keep coming back to haunt you? Post in the comments below if you dare.

People shouldn't be allowed to have songs as their signatures. I got in trouble a while ago for having the Mary Tyler Moore theme song as my signature @Vinyanyérë @kami_ryu @Cometk @hleung

I can't quite understand how fascists like @Mitoe, @edeholland, @chrisie, @Vinyanyérë, and @Cometk are allowed to remain as active members of the staff while the clear liberals like @WickedCossack, @Interjection, and @Zutazuta have been forced into inactivity or retirement.

I dont understand why popular culture acts as if Tesla was some surpressed omniscient demigod. It always confuses me why people think of him as the best scientist or something.

What the fuck did you just fucking say about me, you little bitch? I'll have you know I graduated top of my class in the Navy Seals, and I've been involved in numerous secret raids on Al-Quaeda, and I have over 300 confirmed kills. I am trained in gorilla warfare and I'm the top sniper in the entire US armed forces. You are nothing to me but just another target. I will wipe you the fuck out with precision the likes of which has never been seen before on this Earth, mark my fucking words. You think you can get away with saying that shit to me over the Internet? Think again, fucker. As we speak I am contacting my secret network of spies across the USA and your IP is being traced right now so you better prepare for the storm, maggot. The storm that wipes out the pathetic little thing you call your life. You're fucking dead, kid. I can be anywhere, anytime, and I can kill you in over seven hundred ways, and that's just with my bare hands. Not only am I extensively trained in unarmed combat, but I have access to the entire arsenal of the United States Marine Corps and I will use it to its full extent to wipe your miserable ass off the face of the continent, you little shit. If only you could have known what unholy retribution your little "clever" comment was about to bring down upon you, maybe you would have held your fucking tongue. But you couldn't, you didn't, and now you're paying the price, you goddamn idiot. I will shit fury all over you and you will drown in it. You're fucking dead, kiddo.

Because the story is much more dramatic and engaging when you tell it that way. Though to be fair, he is responsible for one of the consequential inventions of the 19th Century.

AC is great, but he also did go crazy in the later stages of his career clinging on to nonsense like the ether.

I don't understand why a numb ear created this TOP QUALITY POST, with the excuse of just cry in public and tell us with tears in his eyes that SirMusket banned him and that he thinks it is unfair and it should be fixed with the next EP update since he needs some buff.
