You can only improve your probabilty with a good seeding i think, then you won't get disqualified in the early stages. Then you still play vs the best of the best. Even the top players only have a certain probabilty of winning the tournament. The only barrier is the skill, nobody hinders you from climbing the elo-ladder and get a good seeding in the next tournament, so i don't understand your argumentation at all.
