1: Yumi couter cav.
2: Devine Strike.
3: Ashigaru are annoying.
4: Samurai are lazy Doppel clones.
5: Can train vills while aging.
6: Make the same discovery wonder every game.
7: Shrines block your 2nd hunt.
8: Vills don't have to leave base for 38 minutes.
9: Poof ability.
10: Flaming arrows counter falcs.
11: Can make walls.
12: Start with 3 scouting units.
13: Shrines cost about 17 wood.
14: Shrines produce about 0.5 wood/s.
15: Naginata have about 1k HP.

People keep telling me France has a favourable MU vs Japan but I kept on losing
Brits is a bit better but if the game drags on they still just win. Take any fight that isn't an overwhelming snowball victory and they still just win.

Ive never found Japan to be that scary, i usually just grenade rush or coyote rush them tho so maybe that's the secret. Yumi are trash vs grens in my experience especially british ones. Yabusame are super op of course tho, gotta watch out for them

1. remove the ability of the Asian vills to build TCs
2. give Europeans a couple of big buttons
3. combat bonuses for musketeers and similar units if they use advanced formations, or something like that
4. each European civ gets an aura or two for their explorer, which might be related to combat or eco
5. a slight buff to falcs and mortars
6. a "manufacture" building or something in Age III, which would be like a small porcelain tower / summer palace or dojo.
7. and a second AA-type card in the industrial age
8. give Euro guard units the superior looks of the TAD consulate units
9. get a spies-like view range around the enemy's consulate the moment it picks an European ally
10. give each Euro civ a unique active ability, just like those of the Asians
11. give them wololo, maybe for some coin cost
12. make racist tags for Asian and TWC villagers, so that Euro civ cavalry can have a multiplier against them without having one against other Europeans
13. decrease the HP of the Japanese architecture, cos it's highly flammable
14. water shipment point slowly spawns a caravel / and that can also be improved by certain civs
15. give mills and plantations higher base gather rates
16. make grenadiers strong and scary
17. get more out of trade routes
Congratulations, now the Europeans are the real "dicks to play against" as they were irl

Imho it's the TWC civs that are badly designed, since few play them compared to other civs. Maybe they should get an automatic production of minor native allies and cheaper native upgrades and units by default? + renewable coin mines and hunts in their places of origin

Idk at least the war chief civs are still needing map control and natural resources. Japan can camp in base for 23 munutes spamming invincible yumi behind a wall and periodically shipping like 15000 food or whatever those stupid orchards are, and stretch out coin mines nearly indefinitely as yumi are wood cost, and shrines can be set to coin.
China units are essentially free and villages are a bit broken from a design perspective having both waypoint, garrison, livestock and population abilities, without a cost penalty like blockhouses or nobles huts do compared to a barracks. If villages cost 250 wood it could be more balanced, or remove waypoint functionality at least, since taking down a china tc does nothing. It neither halts shipments nor prevents aging up. And since the units are so cheap, even a dozen scattered villagers can sustain territorial army prodiction. Its nearly impossible to pin down a stubborn china player.
India is the most broken of all, getting a fort in age 2, a ridiculous default boost to wood gathering and cheaper houses. They broke too many rules to make a civ with wood cost villagers and it shows. Add that to sepoy (a drunken conscript vs a drilled trained soldier from the british empire, who would win???), age 2 goons, urumi (hes freaking naked why does he have 900 hp) and once again, breaking rules to make elephant shipments feel balanced but still making that too strong. OH AND THEY GET A FREE VILL EVERY SHIPMENT. Yeah. Raid all you want they'll still catch up. Oh and water boom? Look free wood upgrades, cheap houses cheap boats easiest macro of all time, so easy even the most battle hardened advanced scout cheeser would be envious. Oh and yeah their trees have more wood than yours so pfffft map control? If they need it they have a fort and their trees last forever.
But yeah. Azzy and sioix and iro are broken.( I mean iro is pretty broken but at least their units arent overly strong except prowlers)
