You said you were pretty sure that he was mentally handicapped because you perceive his behaviour to be different to the average aoe3 player. Aside from that, writing that you're "pretty sure" someone is disabled because of his shy behaviour or his tendency to play the same civ is just ridiculous. The guy reads the forums too... I think your behaviour sucks.
Lol, case in point. I never said I was "pretty sure" GS was handicapped, I was talking about an aoe2 player who I didn't name. With regards to GS I said I was wondering if he was, not that I was sure about it.

@Astaroth, are you some kind of underground psychologist or something?
Analyzing the actions of individuals and then deducting their mental state from said analysis?
Some people take the "I have a favourite civ and strategy" mantra to the extreme, nothing more nothing less.
Couple that with a lot of free time or less hobbies and you end up with people who play tens of thousands of games in the same way.

I bet in the old days you would assume Adacc is a wacko too, based on his love and adoration for the Chinese FF.

I've played him about 8 times in the last month. I think we are about 50/50 for wins. I can say his builds vary a lot more than that. 1 game he didn't build cannons, all the others he did. He built a barracks age 2 each game and a second to too. Dop and uhlan were common to every game too.

GS basically wins by massing a crazy amount of Ger units in early-mid age3, utilizing free uhlans and crate shipments, and using a china-style approach of having a deathball of units, with a few dopps mixed in to help vs other hand cav, goons and just overall area damage output. Sometimes (eg vs Japan) he likes cannons to deal with massed inf and to make his comp even more annoying to micro against. It doesnt help that he lags.

Tbh this strat isn't that easy to beat if you don't have good micro and if you don't do a strong counter build.

How to counter it depends on the civ and map. I suppose a good rush could work, but it isn't as easy as it might sound. Ger can hold rushes pretty well with free uhlans and 8 bows, especially since he won't play on maps with bad hunts and might not vs some rushing civs. GS also sometimes sends the German TC card. A cav semi doesn't seem that great, either, with him sometimes training dopps. They also mean that you can't really take his closest TC with pikes or so.

I suppose you can go for a fast aggro FF and push him hard, but it is ofc a bit risky vs potential Ger shipments. Alternatively, win by outmicroing with lots of goons etc (depending on civ). If your micro sucks, play defensively but prolly need a meatshield (eg halbs).

Honestly early fort as any civ does well as he just stacks his units under it other than that just go full musk and just ram your units in, he doesn't micro so you can just melee anything.

Yeah, I totally agree with you that his builds vary a lot. Would be interested what other kind of branches you identified.

Her another GS build:

Shipments: 2sw, 3sw, 700g, 1000w, 1000g

Buildings:
I: house, tp
Transition: tp, market, house
II: house, stable, haus,
III: house, foundry, house, house (...)

Units:
III: 5 War wagons, 3 War wagons, 3 falconets (at 9:30)...

This build he used to "punish" a fast 10-musk-semi ff.

haven't seen him in a while. Thought he stopped. Gibson once smurfed him on a new account, threw the poor guy back by roughly 50 wins against conscripts

greatscythe11 is basically some kinda of Lovecraftian eldritch horror, who exists outside the comprehension of mortals. If you were to grasp the full breadth of his being and vision you might go mad.

and actually yea his strat isn't super easy to beat if you are roughly the same skill level as him, even when you know it's coming. I've played fair number of games vs him and when I try to match china deathball for his german deathball, he usually wins. I've tried rushing which works sometimes and other times doesn't. The most success I've had is with an FI, since you can pretty much guarantee you'll get up safely and have shipments ready when he strikes at 13 minutes.

last time I checked he was top1 in nilla with 3500 elo or something, only playing vs pr0 players and getting +1 elo at a time.

edit: 3,6k actually! thats impressive.
