Trumps already demonstrated money can give you a solid shot, I doubt bloomberg has the personality to garner support like Trump did though.

Re: 2020 Democratic Primary
Imagine if Clinton runs as VP with Bloomberg but then Bloomberg wins and simply steps down and leaves Clinton in charge.
I thunk that would be my favorite dystopia.

Re: 2020 Democratic Primary
Bloomberg's campaign has bloomed so much since he's started. He's now +1 in Florida. Pack it up, sweeties. Maybe you progressives can try again in 2028, but for now, this is bloomboi country.

all he needs to do is play the anti Trump personality (even though they are both right wing authoritarians)gibson wrote:Trumps already demonstrated money can give you a solid shot, I doubt bloomberg has the personality to garner support like Trump did though.

Imagine if bloomberg had started campaigning at the same time as everyone else haha
Re: 2020 Democratic Primary
He'd be in a worse spot. Bloomberg is banking on Biden's cratering and a consolidation against Sanders. it's his only path. he can't win against the moderate liberals, because he's an authoritarian republican. He skipped the early debates on purpose because he's an easy target.gibson wrote:Imagine if bloomberg had started campaigning at the same time as everyone else haha

Re: 2020 Democratic Primary
Or Biden would have just began his plummet earlier and Bloomberg would be the favorite now. Also lets not act like his policy on climate change and his nominee for the supreme court wouldnt be 100x better than Trumps.

Re: 2020 Democratic Primary
Bloomberg is definitely better than Trump but he is honestly, legitimately bad, which is one of the reasons it was dumb for the left to paint people like Biden and Pete as these horrible monsters. Re: 2020 Democratic Primary
I agree that he's legitimately bad, far worse than any other Dem still in the race, I just hope that people will still vote for him if by some miracle he becomes the nominee because he is much less bad than Trump.

Im starting to think Trump will win no matter what. I didnt believe in Biden, I dont believe in Buttigieg and Bloomberg but Im honestly starting to be unsure about Sanders's odds against him too.

Re: 2020 Democratic Primary
That's why we need a president who will reform the democratic republic to be more democratic, including a less politicized Supreme Court.gibson wrote:Or Biden would have just began his plummet earlier and Bloomberg would be the favorite now. Re: 2020 Democratic Primary
The American democracy is pretty fragile. At least one positive of Trump is that he has been educating many Americans about how messed up some things are.
