Re: ESOC Fitness Thread
in the first couple of weeks running was fine, now im even bored of jogging. I think what we all miss is the variety/flexibility non-lockdown life allowed
Re: ESOC Fitness Thread
Υe that's the most of it. Same with my cello practice. In the lockdown's beginning I was more eager to practice. Now I prefer to only play a piece that I enjoy. Similarly, home workouts lost their flavour.I_HaRRiiSoN_I wrote:in the first couple of weeks running was fine, now im even bored of jogging. Time is wise and our wounds seem to heal to the rhythm of aging,
But our past is a ghost fading out that at night it’s still haunting.

Re: ESOC Fitness Thread
Anyone know good deadlift replacement with a body weight excercise. I can't think of any.
Re: ESOC Fitness Thread
Take a backpack and fill it with books/bottles of waters or what it's in your convenience. You either deadlift the bag itself, or take a broomstick and put it through the bag's straps. It will be close to deadlifting with a barbell.Shikari wrote:Anyone know good deadlift replacement with a body weight excercise. I can't think of any.

Re: ESOC Fitness Thread
My latest fitness thing is finding a 1km circuit around your house and doing laps. My residential roads are quiet, smooth and rather spacious, can easily run on the tarmac road if im not listening to music. 1km laps dont feel too repetitive due to decent length. its easy to change your run length due to injuries / tiredness / weather / or wanting to go further. It feels like its easier to get the motivation to start running than if you were to start and commit to a 5km / 10km run to somewhere far from your house. Ive done 2 4km runs in 2 days which seems nice to regularly run instead of running once in a while really far. if you went out for 3/4km you could get changed, run, finish and shower within like 40 mins which is perfect if your watching treaty games or something.

Man I wish I could go running outside but in a polluted city like delhi it's so counter productive it sucks. I remember I had such a nice time running when I went to uk nice weather nice side walks etc. You guys are lucky, really.

Imagine the solar minimum leading to global famines and widespread looting.
Hehe, less boredom, eh. Only action-packed days.

Re: ESOC Fitness Thread
Yes, it is harder to run fast in air pollution, as you alluded to in your post. And I was saying many of the big marathons in more polluted cities are slower because of the air quality. Yet, the elite Kenyans that show up still run incredibly fast...Shikari wrote:Because of air pollution? Don't get it. Re: ESOC Fitness Thread
Agreed. What do you think about getting a treadmill for inside? Does that even make a difference or would it be the same? @Shikari

Re: ESOC Fitness Thread
Nah who would spend so much money on a treadmill, it's so boring to run on treadmill I just do some other form of cardio which is much less boringvardar wrote:Agreed. What do you think about getting a treadmill for inside? Does that even make a difference or would it be the same? @Shikari
