I did indeed read your post, which seems to contradict my number of 1 million, since China is way above average, when it comes to deaths caused by pollution.

9 / 0.25
= (9/1) / (1/4)

And then;

= (9*4) / (1*1)
= 36 / 1
= 36

Math done. Not sure what you are trying to prove anyway. I simply said that a WHO report reads that 1 million people die yearly as a direct consequence of pollution. That might be true or not, but I regard WHO as a reliable source in this matter.

What she is trying to say is that since China is 25% of the world population and 9 million people worldwide die of pollution per year, you'd expect 2.25 million Chinese people to die per year without anything else in consideration, but there are only 1 million Chinese people dying of pollution per year which suggests that China is doing a good job.

Of course this is an extremely shallow analysis, but that's what she's trying to say at least.

I know. And this is why I wrote that I got my number from WHO. She tries to illustrate her point with a wrong mathematical example and tells ME to do the math.

Hide in tax heaven? wtf? Do I say anything that makes sense? In this particular thread I have done nothing but backing up my postulates.

I have always paid my taxes, where they are due. If I missed Denmark, I would simply jump on a plane and fly home :)
But fact is that I don't.

As a matter of fact taxes are lower here than they are in Denmark, but that is not the reason why I came here. I simply like to spend my early retirement in a pair of shorts and a t-shirt rather than jacket and boots.

Besides, what does my tax rate have to do with air pollution in China?

I have until 2016 worked 80+ hours a week and often in harsh conditions.

Now I simply decided to stop working and retire in Cyprus - like 1000's of Northern Europeans have done before me.

I do a little crypto trading/investing on the side, some of which made me $$$$$ in 5 weeks. I asked my lawyer how to deal with this'sh and he said "Dont have to do anything"
