Suppose you don't have a car nor your own falcon jet, so you use public transportation.
You ran and missed your bus/subway train at the last second, people saw it and now are looking at you. Among these people, let's say there is a group of very hot chicks (or boys if you play Sioux) who are as old as you.

Question: What do you do?

If the bus just left, why are other people still there to see this event?

I just swear at the driver that saw me running but still ignored. Then I try to find when is the next or another possible route. If hot chicks involved I would ask them if they know and roll like that.

I am a german. We are known for beeing efficent and punctual as a result of that it is in our DNA to not be able to ever miss a bus.

I run ahead of the bus to the next stop and catch it. This actually worked once because the bus got stuck at a red light, but my legs don't play by no traffic rule, up and down the sidewalk like it aint nobodies business where I'm going. Usually though I just feel stupid and wait for the next bus.

@SoldieR @BrookG Actually in my head, the hot chicks were on the bus. I mistakenly didn't consider your option.

@Jam I found my answer in your last sentence. But why is it awkward to run in public?

Personally I just ride my bike to uni every single day regardless of wheather conditions. But IF, for some wacky reason, I need to take the bus, I'll be sure to be there in time.

When I am about to miss the bus, I just walk slowly and pretend never to board it, and just take a detour and come before the next one!

I don't miss the bus/sub/Tram.

I will smash into the closing door and slowly slide down the window pane with tears in my eyes as i beg the driver to open again. And as the bus/train starts going i will desperately try to hold on for a few seconds before I give up and collapse on the ground as my wet eyes follow the bus/train going around the next corner.

I will sit down and casually light up a fag. Preferably one of the more expensive brands.

Walk home and go back to bed.

That's probably due to the American car habit. Road trip, freedom and stuff like that.

Exactly. Plus in Michigan is where all the automakers are, so they’ve lobbied against public transit for years.

wish i did that, instead desperately tried to catchup with the bus to make it to school in time. Retarded bus drivers who often didn't wait for me while seeing me running made me not take the bus ever again after hs, no hard feeling tho that was prob their only fun moment of the day
actually those were middle school times, by hs i stopped running
