I just want to see how gpus will flood the market after all big coins change to proof of stake.
Will be a sweet time to upgrade my old gpu.

Re: ESOC Crypto Corner
Idk what Luna is but I sold all my crypto to buy a house then it all crashed lol.
Now I'm hoping it keeps crashing because I'm going to want a video card soon.
Great timing

Re: ESOC Crypto Corner
Of course, but lately the rate of gradual price reduction is pretty small.
You could wait and see what happens with the upcoming launch, but the last 2 generations we got big price hikes (intentionally in rtx 20xx launch and coincidentally due to low supply in rtx 30xx launch) so I wouldn't hold my breath. Then there is also the Intel launch which is untested waters and is being delayed for the n-th time.

Re: ESOC Crypto Corner
Idk why you'd need the latest video cards, when even previous generation ones do fine in most games. You're paying a premium for latest-gen hype.
I think we're reaching computing powers for which there isn't even intensive enough content for hardware to be challenged tbh.
That's already the case for internet speeds. In my area 2.5Gpbs up to 10Gbps will be available soon, but I don't see the point of it, when everything on the internet for me loads instantly. I'd get like 87ms page loading times, instead of 375ms or smth like that. You barely notice anything on that scale to be worth the upgrade.
I guess I'd download movies faster, instead of 40s it would take 10s.

Re: ESOC Crypto Corner
Do you watch movies in CD quality?
I think video cards at around RX 6600 ... RTX 3060ti range make sense for a buyer if you're going to game on your computor. It is up to what you wanna pay, personally I enjoy browsing the second hand market.

Re: ESOC Crypto Corner
I barely game and when I do it's old games. I might want to switch to triple screens for iRacing though which my rx570 wouldn't be able to handle, but I certainly don't need latest gen stuff
Anyway I don't actually want one now. Hence hoping crypto keeps crashing

Re: ESOC Crypto Corner
I watch in the highest quality I can find. It doesn't make much of a difference to me whether I download 4k content or HD. They both download very fast.
And my card plays 4k fine, in fact even the CPU could do it without any issues. Because that's how powerful integrated gfx got on CPUs, they can do the job of a midrange video card from a previous generation.
My milfy 1650 GTX card can play up to 8K content and supports 3 separate screens, iinm. What would I even need a new card for, lol.

Re: ESOC Crypto Corner
Probably not much, that's why lawyers typically tell their clients it's fine to talk about their cases to the media

Re: ESOC Crypto Corner
dunno haven't followed what he said in interviews, but the whole case is interesting because it's a symptom of other things that happen underneath the surface
such as:

he is known as a big donor to the US Democrats
both Dems and Repubs in the congress apparently tried to stop the SEC from investigating them
meanwhile the Binance CEO is also currently under scrutiny

It seems only a small number of people view these coins as currency. Most view them as a way to get rich quick, buying and selling them for dollars. I mean that's all right. The more people rely on the free market the sooner government bureaucrats can be sent packing.
