I don't think it's too late.

maybe not, but right now, its not a good time for me
:!: maybe next time :P cos there is bound to be plenty of ups and downs with this currency before it stabilizes some time in the future.

I just hope DE is not going to implement all of the EP changes. Right now it is a big clusterfuck.

Can we talk about cryptography here? Or is that too off topic?
Also do any cryptos relate to any real world value or are they entirely speculative?

You could try I guess

Depends on who you ask. I think they can have real world applications but realistically most of them will never get to that point, if any

Definitely.

Can somebody give an ELI5 on why so many currencies have been rising so quickly past couple weeks?

I have 1400 XLM (Stellar Lumens) which have a value of around 300 USD atm, going well.

Prediction: crypto will surge this year
Time is wise and our wounds seem to heal to the rhythm of aging,
But our past is a ghost fading out that at night itā€™s still haunting.

I still have no idea what chainlink does but I'm glad I got convinced by some equally clueless idiots to buy when it was 40 cents.

The normal stock market is only loosely correlated to actual economic value, let alone this speculative stuff. I'd imagine @spanky4ever doesn't think highly of it.

The value of cryptocurrencies is correlated to the price of GPUs though :(

I made a trading bot and I'm having it trade with BTC, ETH, LTC and XRP. Each got 25% of the starting money.
Started January 1st with all positions open and it has only made 1 trade so far which was to sell XRP yesterday :hmm:

At bad times, apparently

Buys when MACD is negative or close to zero (some nuance there but effectively that), MACD growth > signal line growth and the last positive volume is at least double the last negative volume
Sells pretty much in the opposite situation

It's trading based on the 4h charts and calculating MACD based on MA12 and MA26

It's almost certain to rebuy XRP at 17:00, which means the first trade was bad. 0-1
