I am not so sure about that. The announcement of their release is probably a lot more impactful than the release itself.

IOTA (iota.org) seems like it could be very useful for commerce. It is based on the Tangle and have 0 transaction fee's - making nano payments possible.

@Goodspeed Can you smell the rise to > 13,000 and sudden drop to 11,000? I sense its presence. Will the Martian prophecy come true in the next 36.5 hours?

Seems unlikely. I expected it to grow more on Monday/Tuesday and level off a bit today. But it's the opposite.
Maybe around 14-15k
EDIT: I guess it's kinda leveling off now at 12600

I've found TradingView to be fairly responsive in the past when it came to stocks. Not sure how accurate it is when it comes to BTC. But other sources seem to agree its around 12700 atm.

Each exchange is isolated so the prices vary quite a bit sometimes due to the high volatility. I usually check Coindesk, but they always seem to be lower than GDAX. Statistically speaking that sounds like an impossibility so I am not sure what to trust. I just watch GDAX directly instead now.

I think coinmarketcap.com pulls data from all exchanges.

@deleted_user4 I blame crooked duck for only allowing English here.

@Jam Minera collect the fees. Although I have no clue how the fee amount is decided. Perhaps @Snuden can explain it to us lazies.

Marching towards $15K :/

The fee's are used to pay the miners, who verify transactions. My guess is that the higher fee you are willing to pay, the higher you are placed in the blockchain.

Some wallets have that option. You can also use an "Accelerator" to speed up the transaction.
Based on my (limited) research I think IOTA is a better option as a currency.

Sell it now, exit the pyramid game as a winner or you will regret.

Unless you've invested thousands of dollars, I think selling would be a bad choice. It's only a 50% gain so far.
