I need a new gaming headset!

Hello fellow community members!

Today I broke the mic of my gaming headset (Logitech G430), so I want to buy a new one. I have used this one a couple of years and I have always been very satisfied with it. What's important for me is the sound and microphone. I listen to music a lot and talk from time to time. I want some quality, but I prefer to not pay more than €150.

Any recommendations?

Perhaps, but I want to discover more outside. Quality improves over time and since I got that headset like 3 years ago, I expect there's more quality for less money nowadays.

I'd get a pair of good headphones I can use for listening to music too (not just gaming) and a separate mic, but that's just me.

Headsets tend to be great at neither.

It doesnt matter in AoE, but in other games where you really depend on the sound (like in CS:GO) its a big difference cause you hear less noise around you

But does a gaming headset perform better than a normal cheaper headset? Like most of gaming headsets seems to cost 100+ € while with 60-70 € you can get decent standard set with comparable if not better quality sound (I think). Seems odd to me to want a gaming one if you don't make use of the extra features.

Well one feature of gaming headsests is that they completely cover your ear, to decrease sound around you IRL. I don't think that's the case for normal ones, though the sound quality varies a lot I guess.

yea gaming headsets are a rip off. Get a standalone mic and a pair of headphones. You'll get much better audio quality and much better mic quality.

If you want top quality, thats sure the way to go, but if your are not a streamer or someone who needs a perfect mic, a headset can offer a more practical setup..(no need for a place in your desk for a mic..)

(also, at least in here its cheaper, idk about usa/euro, since everything is dirt cheap there :p)

I have the HyperX cloud Revolver S. I can recomend it for good sound when you play music, very comfortable to wear, and also isolation for keeping disturbing noise out. Its with a wire though, and thats is kind of bugging me. Would like the top wireless model from Logiteck, but those are insanly expensive. Maybe next christmas
