Yo, yes, it's talk music, what's the problem with it?, just because rappers don't sing it doesn't mean it doesn't requires a great effort to rap, it still being art, and rap music is more complex than you think, just because most of the new school rappers are trash it doesn't mean it is too aswell, in general, you need high writing/thinking skills for compete with the top rappers in the game, it isn't just make a sentence and put a rhyme in the end.

Check this awesome rhyme scheme (With impressive multi-syllable rhymes) + A real story that makes sense + Wordplays (Like metaphors and things like that) + good flow at rhyming which it isn't easy, basically you have to drop a rhyme every 2 times the snare hits or if you're Eminem, then everytime. I bet my ass and 1000000000€ that you can't write something as good as this + make it sound good

Here's the song:

Also check this link: https://genius.com/Rap-genius-glossary-of-literary-devices-and-forms-of-wordplay-used-in-hip-hop-lyrics

It's a Glossary Of Literary Devices And Forms Of Wordplay Used In Hip-Hop.

Also, if rap is shit, why do we have a big page named RapGenius where users are dissecting every line in every rap song everyday.

I'm going to put some great rap songs that maybe help you to feel it

Also, fuck it, you're being hunted by rap nowadays, you can find it on everywhere, even on pop/ radio mainstream songs

So if you have a problem with rap, you clearly must go to live in the woods, because nowadays rappers are dominating the radios.
Possibly thanks to trap (Hip Hop subgenre)

Rappers are nothing but slightly intelligent con men in the field of music. They appeal to dark emotions in their fans' hearts. This is evidenced by the popularity of the '5% trash popular mainstream rap.' they know what they are doing -inciting violent behaviors in people of all ages.

Rappers are thugs. Many of the popular ones have a criminal background (hard stuff not things like marijuana possession)

You defend the genre, which in terms of popularity, is filled with depictions of illicit activities.
