You defend the genre, which in terms of popularity, is filled with depictions of illicit activities.

So are movies.

So you also watch movies about criminals? Interesting....

Yes I watched Breaking Bad and now I'm a meth dealer. That's how it works, right?

Nah you're not a meth dealer, you're one of those computer hackers. Also... Breaking bad isn't a movie...

I'll sum up my disgust with rap with this statement:
Cod kids get their colorful vocabulary from many places. One of the easiest way to learn profanity (outside of home) is through a bad rap song. This also means kids are at risk of becoming gangsters, drug dealers, trash of society (lesser than homeless people).

Children are very impressionable. Parents should make sure to control what explicit media they might consume. This is hardly an attack on the genre's musicality.

I personally think it's utter garbage, not to mention the way they talk, walk, dress, etc... Whats up with the jeans only covering half their ass?

To me it seems like they almost inspire to laziness.

Unfortunately both my daughters like it.

primitif musics ....

honestly anyone who regards hip-hop as a summatively bad genre (or any genre as summatively bad) is a person who has an incomplete understanding of contemporary music

Lets be serious, we all saw in news Rap Singers they quit the world by doing d....g overdose. Also, most of time poeple who stay on Rap world, they always have criminal background. what kind of education poeple want to teach to their family. Every good family would do their maximun of their chance to make sure their kids avoid rap world etc....

Funny, that's how ppl argued about music from the 80s and 90s. Profanity and drug addiction :)

What the fuck?!

Gotta love generalizations.

I graduated magna cum laude, have a great job, never got into drugs. I also listen to rap.

Maybe it's that pop music that so many people listen to....it's destroyed individuality since it's all the same and so many people listen to it and so many people don't graduate, don't have good jobs, turn to self medication, overdose, kill themselves, etc.

Vaccinate yourself with knowledge. Ignorance is contagious.
Time is wise and our wounds seem to heal to the rhythm of aging,
But our past is a ghost fading out that at night it’s still haunting.

"And we hate po-po. Wanna kill us dead in the street fo'sho."

Is that supposed to be an example of good lyricism? Roger Waters rolls over in his bed. That is bad on at least three levels, and good on none, as far as I can tell.
