While we're bumping this thread, let's see some interesting comments from an ex-ES FE dev who worked on DE.
Summary of the good stuff:
In other words, the current recipe for an Age game remaster is to first hugely underestimate the work needed, then proceed to cut all funds and end support once the game is in a somewhat releasable state. It would appear to me this casts a rather dark future for both AoE2 and AoE3.
