where are we now, in case of ww3
the blocks are not really there anymore. And the "NATO" are not "cut in stone" as the cheif of Nato just said. Where are we going when we speak of defence. UK is out of EU soon. Where are their alliance going; to EU or USA?
well. lots of other questions I could have, but Im sure you will raise them. If you get involved

Best part is that if WW3 never happens you can salvage it and get 75% of the cost back!
Pay more attention to detail.

There is absolutely no way there's going to be a war between the USA and EU, if that's what you're insinuating. The UK is just half-way between America 2 and another EU country. This is important because it allows the UK to be summoned to war, like how they helped during the second gulf war, and take other forms of unilateral action. But it also keeps them "EU enough" to stop any harmful ideas from spreading into the rest of the continent. Simple trade disputes aren't going to undermine the intense ideological similarity between Western countries.
We kind of know where every country would align during WW3. America, UK, EU, Australia, Israel, and Sunni Muslims vs Russia, China, and Shia Muslims. But there aren't any indicators of a major war starting soon. The North Korea summit went surprisingly well. If Trump wanted war in the middle-east, he had his chance in Syria. No one seems to want to fight, and that has helped maintain the peace. But there are past examples where no one wanted to fight, but everyone still went to war. We were kind of close to this in late 2017, with all the incidents in the middle-east, but things have cooled down a lot.

Even though the UK is leaving the EU we will still be in NATO and we are still dedicated to keep Europe a safe place.

Right now any non nuclear war probably wouldnt last for long. The 'enemies' would be China and Russia, facing basically the rest of the world. Even a nuclear war would be 'won' by the western world.

I think Russia and China could be set up against each other by promossing China bordering Russian lands, which China soon will need and Russia don't.

Saudi Arabia has better relations with Israel than it has with Iran. They may not be besties, but Amsel is right. Also the most powerful Muslim (and Sunni) nation that is Turkey is in NATO. The other Gulf Arab countries may see things that way too, even Qatar (despite the embargo) and Yemen (minus Houthis).Googol wrote:Lukas_L99 wrote:Amsel_ wrote:We kind of know where every country would align during WW3. @Lukas_L99 @Googol
There is a cold-war between Saudi Arabia and Iran, the leaders of the Sunnis and Shia respectively. Both the Saudis and Israelis are aligned with the United States, and Iran is aligned with Russia; this has turned a regional conflict into a major geopolitical struggle. They might not hold hands and skip together, but there already is some level of cooperation between the Saudis and Israelis. Both of them are waiting for a chance to attack Iran and its allies; that means that if one goes to war with Iran, both go to war with Iran.

Why are you reading Zerohedge you filthy conspiracy theorist?

Re: where are we now, in case of ww3
There's a reason why people tend to be skeptical about cooperation between Israelis and Sunni Muslims, in case of major war conflict, they would probably cooperate but behind the scenes sunni Muslims would do everything they can to remove Israel from the map, they even tried it in the past immediately after Israel was created.
