Anywaysh, I bought a UE Megaboom bluetooth speaker a couple years ago and it changed my life, one of the best purchases I've ever made. I've taken it all over the place, and it allowed me to listen to music at work, on a sailboat, at parties, and at the cabin. The battery life was amazing too. Unfortunately it will no longer charge; not sure if the issue is all my chargers or the charging port, but I'm looking into getting it fixed soon.
Because I love it so much I simply can't wait, so I bought a new one, the JBL Xtreme 2. It is much heavier and bulkier than the Megaboom, but it provides even louder sound and much better bass. It's a bit pricey at around $300, but I would highly recommend people pick up some type of Bluetooth speaker. UE makes good products and they have a lot of smaller, cheaper ones if you're not ready to commit.
Being in control of music at cabin parties and other events is a great power, so wield it responsibly.
