We landed! Before departure we were greeted with a "firetruck salute" and got a little wet as I guess is pilot retirement tradition. I think collectively we have clapped 4 or 5 times by now and someone might start clapping again when we successfully dock.

I used to be, and today I planned to be, but then both my carry-ons got flagged for having coffee, both got completely emptied, searched, my appliances swabbed, then repackaged unideally which was cumbersome because they were tightly packed, the coffee was tested, I was pat down, and then there was no time so I took some Xanax. The two TSA agents couldn't close my carry-on suitcase so I took it from them and closed it myself right in front of them to display dominance.

Wow, also some real line budgers. It's common protocol the plane empties row by row from front to back, but some people from the back tried to get off immediately, clogging up the aisle unnecessarily and being general dummies.

A sad chap last night also hijacked an empty airplane at the Seattle airport roughly around when I had left it. I listened on the public radio frequency, he was acutely aware of his psychotic breakdown, and just wanted to look at some mountains and do a barrel roll before he crashed into an uninhabited part of the ground. He was a little funny too, in a suicidially self aware kind of way regards to the bizarre situation and the headache he was causing for a lot of people.

RIP Rich.

A country with no universal healthcare has more (untreated) mental patients who are prone to suicidal thoughts and actions. Who would have thought?

Strange direction to takes things. We don't know his personal situation regards to finances or his resolve to get treated or even if he was cognizant he would soon break or was unhappy or what.

We can critique the very non ideal American healthcare system and global mental health awareness on the whole (which, btw, we've done for like 100 pages on ESOC) without shoehorning it using this one guy no one knows anything about.

Mostly it's just sad, and makes me say Busy Busy Busy.
