Well? It's a simple question. There are positives and negatives for both sides of this big debate. I'm a big fan of hard water, it just has more "body" to it. Also will include tap water often found in Florida that has a lot of sulfur. I call that "stank" water.

I like soft water because you can always add calcium hardness increaser to it if you want it harder, but the only way to reduce hardness in your pool is to drain some and add fresh water

Soft water. Sadly i use hard water for my daily purposes. So hard that even i have to replace filter in mt water purifier almost 2-3 times a month.

I like mildly hard water personally as I like the extra calcium flavor, but I don’t want to go over board and damage the pipes with too much calcium deposits
