Anybody here who studies math?
As an undergraduate, I have to do a small thesis in a field of math. I am thinking of doing it in Complex Analysis, but I am having a hard time finding a topic. Is there anybody here who does math and would be willing to discuss a little bit some topics?
last time i cryed was because i stood on Lego

From my experience with theses is that you have to do something you really enjoy. The research is going to be stressful and with lots of pressure. You need to have fun working on the project, so that you are motivated to keep up. You can meet with various professors and discuss the process of writting a thesis to help you pinpoint what you want.
Another advise I had was to see if what I'm doing for my bachelor can align with what I want to do for my masters or my future job. This is tricky and felt pressuring at the time. It's impossible know what you are doing in your future on the spot, unless you planned everything in advance, which usually isn't the case. The other worked better for me. Doing some brainstorming on ideas can work.
Now on complex analysis I can't be of much help, are you familiar with the field? What functions are you analysing and what for? Try to look up for questions you want to answer

Correlation doesn't mean causation.

Re: Anybody here who studies math?
What's the scope of the thesis? Do you need to make a contribution to the field, or is more like you have to do a lit review of a topic?

How about the Navier stokes equation. Plus if you figure it out, you will have some extra money for aoe 4
