President Trump is the first POTUS to support gay marriage on the first day of the Presidency. All hail our GEOTUS!

Re: 2020 Democratic Primary
I read some of it. Mostly slander, if you ask me
But as I said, she will get tough questions when the debates begin, and I will surely pay attention.
She has been criticizing the Obama politics for supporting terrorist groups in Syria, so they, in turn, could overturn Assad - that was the idea anyway. Wonder how that would have turned out? Replacing Assad with ISIS - al Nusra - al Qaida? That is a legit question imo. Not many politicians did/do that, and for that, she gets my admiration. Thx for the link. I am now following Tulsi Gabbard on twitter

It's very progressive to support using chemical weapons on civilians

Maybe you could show me some evidence of that? Where she actually said she support the usage of chemical weapons
I guess you are referring to the latest attack in Syria? If that is it then:
first, off all, there is only speculations on who actually used it, or even if there actually where an attack. Second, why would Assad use chemical weapons when he was about to win the war? You can probably say lots of bad things about Assad, but he is not that stupid.
Third, the ones who had everything to win by using it (if there were an attack that is) where the so-called rebels. Maybe their last hope that US troops would overturn Assad.
Forth, I guess its more dignified to die from starvation in Yemen? you know, that place where 1000s of children have died a painful, slow death? And where the US is supporting Saudi Arabia with Intel and weapons?
Cmon, you should know better than that

Re: 2020 Democratic Primary
My point is she is an Assad apologist, which I think is worse than being supported by Wall Street. However I'm not a purity tester so I would still support her over Trump. But let's be honest, she has no chance
Edit: I would actually prefer Bernie win over her

@spanky4ever what about the 6 chemical weapons attack’s prior to the Douma attack which finally triggered a response?

I am not saying there where no attack or that Assad is not a premium asshole. I just have not seen that last one to be proven. And what has that to do with Tulsi Gabbard? That is a very long stretch imo. As far as I can tell, her only crime is that she wants the endless wars to end, and that does not sit well with the Dem establishment or the mainstream media. Better to have wars to satisfie military industrial complex and the war economy. I mean, you should at least be a little sceptical
This is her crime:

Better to bomb the living hell out of the civilians, and leave the country in ruins? Much better than to talk and negotiate.

I don't think that's worse than being supported by Wall Street, considering Wall Street support is the last thing anyone who is looking to deal with inequality would get, and growing inequality is one of your biggest problems.fightinfrenchman wrote:My point is she is an Assad apologist, which I think is worse than being supported by Wall Street. What would be your plan to deal with Assad? I don't know a thing about this Gabbard or what she may or may not have said about the matter, but last I checked the dude is winning that war and preventing that from happening is only going to bring more instability to the region.

Re: 2020 Democratic Primary
I think its high time that somebody asked serious questions about US military involvement "everywhere" - about the human sufferings, and also about the cost for US taxpayers. Breaking news today is that special adviser to Trump, John Bolton, asked Pentagon to review a military strike on Iran, back in September.
Somebody should say, enough is enough already, and right now that person is Tulsi Gabbard - who herself is a military veteran, and have seen the "action" in Irak personally.
I would hope that you agree that these wars have been a disaster? I also hope you think there should be a stop to raging wars, and overturning regimes to leave countries in ruins and anarchy? @n0el and @fightinfrenchman

I think you will see all the Dem nominees speaking out against this. Specifically about Gabbard, she herself describes herself as a hawk, meaning she is pro blowing up people if they are "extremist".

I do remember'ish what she said: "In short, when it comes to the war against terrorists, I'm a hawk. When it comes to counterproductive wars of regime change, Ima dove"
But I know that the corporate/moderate Dems will try to spin this - over and over again. They are already at it. I also remember the spin about Bernie Sanders, and for that, I will give them little credibility. But if they have actual facts, or if I hear she say anything remotely like she is hawkish, I will surely change my mind about her. But for now, she is among the least hawkish politicians in Washington, as far as I can judge, listening to her speaking about the issues.

It isn't the corporate /moderate dems attacking her. It is the far left, Sanders supporters attacking her.

hmm, the far left has also been criticizing Sanders very hard after he supported Clinton in the general election. To some ppl, there is just nothing good enough I guess.
I would say nobody is perfect, and that goes for Gabbard aswell. That being said, I think this clip give a fair picture. And yeah, I think there is some issues with her:

Re: 2020 Democratic Primary
Btw, I do not think Bernie Sanders is very keen on being POTUS, I mean like an ego trip like Hillary Clinton. I think he will run if he feel its necessary. His wishes are that there will be a big change/revolution of how wealth is being distributed in the US. Among many of his wishes are a fair wage, and he has been working for his policies, traveling the country ever after the general election. And he is getting results. Now, most of the Democratic party are onboard with the 15 dollars minimum wage.
https://youtu.be/Kgs3uOTViuM
Btw, I think 15 is very low, and I do not think anyone in my country works for less than 20. In my country ppl start at 20 dollars, working for McDonald

$15 minimum wage nationwide is a bad idea in the United States

Yes it is. No one can keep a profitable business in any rural small town even with $10/hr. wages.
Re: 2020 Democratic Primary
That’s many reasons for that. Minimum wage is a small factor. 15$ min wage would do more good than bad.

Re: 2020 Democratic Primary
And quite honestly, I’m not sure the facts support that. Pretty sure that’s just a talking point.
