Peeps forget Trump is a reality show prima donna and it's part of the show to talk about cancelling momentous decisions that were never made in the first place.

It helps him offset the negative impression created by that US drone being downed somewhere close to the Iranian border. So by saying "I cancelled a decision that would have killed hundreds" he's erasing that negative impression of US weakness and projecting an image of benevolence. Pretty basic political communication stuff.

Yeah, coz he knows that Iran wants war. That's why he's balking at committing the USA to any strike.

Iran wants to lure the USA in a conflict, to make the USA conduct a couple of small-area strikes, so they can play the victim card. Their current economic situation is so dire they'd rather see things escalate into something that breaks the deadlock, rather than continue being held in the current geopolitical straightjacket.

All these small incidents are basically provocations. Iran wants to sabotage the oil trade in the Persian Gulf so that the USA will over-react and trigger a global crisis, that would engulf other powers in the equation too (Russia, China, the EU). This could eventually lead to a solution to the economic blockade Iran is currently going through.

Uhm, it's very possible that pretty much nobody will accept this, from Russia, China to the EU. Yeah sure, "what are they gonna do about it?" Russia and China know that if they let the US invade Iran, then that's it, they lose any shadow of credibility as military powers. Nobody will ever look at them for alliances or strategic deterrence, because they will think they just don't have the global clout. Russia pretty much proved they could turn a situation that was completely lost for them (Syria) into a completely successful one for them.

I don't think either Russia or China are just going to stand still and just look at the US invading Iran.

Saying that Iran wants to go to war with the USA, is really a nonsensical statement
We all know how the USA conduct wars these days, by bombing countries to the ground. This is not a PC game dude, and ppl really die from bombs and drones. What nation in their right mind would want to see their countries turned back 50 years

Why? Warren and Sanders are actually very similar policy-wise, and you seem to forget that they would never be able to implement all of their ideas anyway. As long as a progressive is elected, the USA will move in the right direction.

Well, that was maybe an overstatement on my behalf. But if somebody like Biden should win, I think it's not far from the truth. Because he will not take the necessary steps to meet the challenges with climate change. He is not supporting Medicare for all, neither is he in support for more affordable student loans/free tuition.
this will prolly give a lot of unrest, paving the way for yet another horrible republican POTUS in 4 years time.
