Re: 2020 Democratic Primary
@Goodspeed The recent thing was Hillary saying that people don't like Bernie. Tulsi is suing her because she implied that Tulsi was a Russian asset (I don't think she actually even used her name though, so a defamation lawsuit is just for attention)

Shows how out of touch with voters she is.

That doesn't justify it. What she said is both politically stupid and untrue.
Re: 2020 Democratic Primary
Fake news and communism aside, Bernie is up +3 points in the nationwide primary poll. I think he could pull this off. He, by far, has the best supporters in terms of number and enthusiasm.
Re: 2020 Democratic Primary
Can't believe the Iowa caucus is less than two weeks away.

Source? I need to see polls that confirm the things I believe in. I thought Biden was increasing his lead lately.Amsel_ wrote:Fake news and communism aside, Bernie is up +3 points in the nationwide primary poll. I think he could pull this off. Re: 2020 Democratic Primary
Why would the Clinton News Network put out a poll that's positive for Bernie, though?

Real clear politics is the gold standard of polling aggregates. https://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/latest_polls/ They also take averages of polls for specific races, and it tends to be much more accurate than the individual polls themselves.RefluxSemantic wrote:Source? Re: 2020 Democratic Primary
That's funny because it's fake news. Bernie is up +3 in ONE poll. He's still way down in the RCP averageAmsel_ wrote:Fake news and communism aside, Bernie is up +3 points in the nationwide primary poll. I think he could pull this off. >Haha, fake news! What really happened is that there was a poll showing Bernie is up three points, but he's behind in the polling aggregate
Is this the power of 85 IQ?
Re: 2020 Democratic Primary
You said he's up +3 in THE nationwide poll, not A. And you didn't mention that he was still down in the average, in fact you didn't even mention RCP until after Jerom asked you for a source. Your post, to me, clearly implied that you thought he was actually ahead +3 nationwide.
I hadn't read your reply to Jerom because it was posted at the same time as mine.

Re: 2020 Democratic Primary
Look, Sanders is finally making the leap to the victory. He'll win Iowa and then start surging like hell.
Let me at least believe this, it conforts me.

Re: 2020 Democratic Primary
The RCP average isn't a poll. If I said up three points in the polls, or that he was polling three points ahead, your interpretation would be fine.Goodspeed wrote:You said he's up +3 in THE nationwide poll, not A. This is a truly riveting semantics argument

Re: 2020 Democratic Primary
Neither interpretation makes sense considering your wording, so I went with the one that I thought was implied by your "I think he can pull this off" comment (which makes less sense with the RCP average in mind), and by the fact that you didn't mention which poll.
People here have a history of taking single polls for truth, if they like them enough.
