The ear prefers his politicians to not achieve anything, other than not being Trump.

No, I'm saying because Jerom didn't link to him saying anything, I have to assume he's never said anything beyond what was in Jerom's post.

Bernie’s tax plan is on his website. He is less transparent about how much his healthcare plan will cost though and it’s anybody’s guess how he’ll pay for his $16.3 trillion Green New Deal on top of that.

I'm sorry I went into semantics in those last few posts, I should not have done that.

What you were saying I believe is that if Sanders were to mimic the scandinavian tax system, all people including the middle class would be paying more money, because their tax system is relatively flat. You are right in noticing that if you increase the tax rates that the middle classes will also be paying more money. However, the percentage being flat doesn't mean that the middle classes will actually be paying just as much as the upper classes. After all, the higher wages also earn more money, so they have to pay more taxes anyways. If you increase all taxes by a flat rate of 10%, more than half of the increase in tax incoming will actually be coming from the 1% and the rest from the other 99%.

Obviously you can't create a functioning wellfare state without having any money. But it's a bad thing to have people be unable to afford healthcare or to live in poverty, and it's a bad idea to be destroying the climate because saving it costs you money. In the end everyone has to pay, but even by increasing the taxes with a flat rate the majority of the money will be paid by the upper classes.

The reason why the Bernie campaign keeps bringing up Scandinavian countries is because those countries have proven that it's possible to build a well functioning wellfare state and that this is a thing that the USA can achieve too. Of course not everything he wants to get done will get done, that's how politics work. It's a very big leap to go from being the USA to being a very progressive wellfare state, so it will probably have to be done one step at a time. But it's the principle that counts. When you vote for Bernie, you know you're voting for a man who will try everything he can to help the USA get closer to achieving what he sees as the ultimate goal. He might not get there, but the Scandinavian countries didn't get there over night either. They got there because the people continually voted for the left and those left politicians slowly but surely got to where they are at now.

Surprises me that the country that hates taxes so much, doesn't have a tax free threshold for at least the first 10K earned. It doesn't make a lot of sense economically.

So instead of studying Ive been looking at the theory that Joe Biden is suffering from dementia and I thought it would be a meme, but you know, he reminds my a lot of my grandfather in the earlier stages of his dementia.

This is all wild speculation, but if it were to be early stage dementia then he will not be able to perform his presidential duties anymore at the end of his term. My grandfather went from missing the highway exit when driving home in the dark to not knowing who I was (and after I told him I was his grandson of 18 yrs old getting angry with me for not meeting him for all those 18 yrs haha) in a similar timespan.

Betters currently think its very likely Sanders takes Iowa, NH and Nevada. That'd be a crushing defeat for the rest.

I dont know what it is, but all those things Bernie says move me so much. Whenever I watch a video of him, I'm on the verge of bursting into tears. I shouldnt even care. It's not my country, it won't affect me at all. But somehow I do.

All I can see is a man who has spent his life fighting not for fame, not for himself, but for the people. All I can see is a man that from the bottom of his heart wants to make the world a better place. And that moves me.
