Can someone fill me in on that tweet. It makes no sense to me.
Re: 2020 Democratic Primary
TYT is supposedly very Liberal and has been outspokenly pro worker.RefluxSemantic wrote:Can someone fill me in on that tweet. It makes no sense to me.
Re: 2020 Democratic Primary
Seems like its a big misinformation campaign at the moment. The union representing the TYT employees endorsed the challenger to the founder of TYT (Cenk Uygur) in the primary race for the house seat. TYT said they will allow unionization and support their employee's right to do so, but the organizing union isn't giving them the information.
The Ear hates leftists so he's trying to call them hypocrites even though there's not remotely enough info to say that is the case.

This answer will be worse than a google search.
Neoliberalism rewards capital performance more, and advocates for market-driven solutions. They also advocate for globalization/free-trade and open borders, but whether this differs from "leftism" Idk. It certainly differs from conservatism. Think about putting all points into what's called evidence based policy at all costs. It's regulated capitalism, more regulated than Republican capitalism, but not to such an extent as leftists would like, however both are rooted in capital driven economies. Neoliberals are typically economics majors, or more accurately vice versa.
To the left of leftists are Marxists I guess. These would typically be philosophy majors, or vice versa, again, but also maybe not.

Re: 2020 Democratic Primary
About 35%, then after the 2 weeks after that the total allotted will be about 61%. We are going to have a very good idea where this will all end up in 4 weeks time.RefluxSemantic wrote:After super tuesday, what percentage of delegates will have been awarded?

Re: 2020 Democratic Primary
The way I see it, people that are left care for other people and people that are not left either dont really get it or they don't care for other people or both.
Re: 2020 Democratic Primary
More accurately. Socially liberal. Economically capitalist. Pro-privatization, globalization and austerity.fightinfrenchman wrote:Not really, I'll explain in more depth laterCometk wrote:Socially liberal, fiscally conservative?
Read about the Chicago school and Mont Pelerin for more info. Great book on the birth of neoliberalism is Democracy in Chains.

Re: 2020 Democratic Primary
Again that doesn't totally describe me. Neoliberalism, much like socialism, doesn't have a very consistently definition.

Re: 2020 Democratic Primary
I’m not trying to describe you. I’m describing neoliberalism. Unlike socialism, which is a very broad term with many sub-ideologies, neoliberalism involves very specific beliefs and has a concrete history.
