With the presumptive Democratic nominee Joe Biden widening his lead over the only remaining contender Bernie Sanders in the primary race, it’s time we started discussing the general election in a new thread. If anything, it’ll keep us distracted in the midst of this corona virus pandemic and help preserve our sanity (or not).

I’ll start us off. Who do you think will be Joe Biden’s running mate? To those who may not know, Biden publicly committed to choosing a female vice president during the last debate on March 15th. Most Democratic Party insiders seem to prefer his ex-rivals in the primary race, which narrows the field down quite a bit. Kamala Harris, Amy Klobuchar and Elizabeth Warren appear to be the leading VP choices. I personally think Biden will pick Amy Klobuchar, who helped kick-start the Joementum before Super Tuesday with her early endorsement. Also, she can probably help him the most in the Midwest. I may be biased though, since I would have voted for Klobuchar if she hadn’t endorsed Biden.

Now that I think about it, it would be pretty ironic for Amy Klobuchar, who was deemed one of the most effective senators in the 115th Congress, to be promoted to the most useless position in the Senate.
