Biden said he was in the Senate for 180 years so he better be good if he's that experienced.
Imagine taking something that was very obviously meant as a joke and taking it literally because it fits your agenda. Its called stupidity.
He misread the teleprompter. Learn to do some research idiot. What kind of idiot makes that kind of mistake? I guess all mistakes are a joke when it fits your agenda.
False idiot noob
You're saying it's fake news? Great argument lol

They're both very combative, but the relevance and quality of arguments is very basic.
I get it, you need to dumb down your message to make sure it gets through to the lowest level of comprehension, but not dumb it down to the point there's almost no message, except "no, u".

Nothing will change when you only get 2 minutes to make your argument. Tbh they should be allowed props, aides, powerpoint presentations etc. Make a 10 minute argument. Then live fact checking becomes easier too.
“To love the journey is to accept no such end. I have found, through painful experience, that the most important step a person can take is always the next one.”
Like seriously that would immensely improve the watchability.

@wardyb1 I guess they didn't want a debate in which everyone just takes turns at reciting their prepared part. They wanted a lively debate, because this can reveal how competent someone is by pushing them out of their comfort zone.

You're right up until " reveal how competent someone is by pushing them out of their comfort zone."
It's more that they just want entertainment. They want viewers. They want their team sport that gets people watching. A slow, informative debate with long pieces does absolutely nothing to drive viewers. People no longer have the attention spans for it.

people would switch off and start browsing their phones after 30 seconds
Has there been any polling on Trump's "rigged election" claim? Like does anyone know how that is playing out?

Ok, well that was the shitshow that was to be expected. Don't think anyone won. Biden probably didn't hurt his lead though which was probably his aim. Trump was Trump, and didn't say anything new. He kept pandering to his base and presumably thinks it is big enough to get him across the line. Will probably tune in for the VP debate, but probably won't bother with the 2nd and 3rd debates as I can't see them being any different.
